About me

Hi! I am Christel Nouwens, the creative mind behind studio Pronckstuk. What was originally intended as a hobby project has grown into a real business. With products in which craftsmanship, authenticity and love and attention are central. The cards and paintings of studio Pronckstuk are my heart and soul on paper, meant to share a meaningful message with the people in your heart.

Ik geloof dat het gaat om de kleine momenten die er toe doen. Om omkijken naar elkaar, aandacht hebben voor elkaar, er zijn. Geen vriendschap van likes of snelle appjes, maar echte verbinding.
Bij studio Pronckstuk vind je wenskaarten en cadeaus met betekenis, die raken in het hart. Als steuntje in de rug en als troostrijk gebaar in moeilijke tijden, maar ook om het leven te vieren en waardevolle momenten te koesteren.

Dat is waar studio Pronckstuk voor staat: pronckstukjes voor jezelf of voor een ander, bedoeld om verbinding te maken met de mensen in je hart.

What else you want to know about me

  • I collect Dutch design ceramics and wooden animal figures by Scandinavian designers like Kaj Bojesen. They regularly feature in the photos of my cards and drawings!
  • Tulips are my favorite flowers, so I try to plant hundreds of tulip bulbs in the garden every year. Because let's be honest, who doesn't get happy from so much color after the wet and gloomy winters of today?
  • About carnival: I have almost nothing to do with it. It's just that our children want to walk in the children's parade every year, otherwise I would stay inside. Don't tell anyone!
  • I have 2 rabbits, with the very original names Tintin and Spot.
  • I don't do sports. I once ran for a short while: once but never again. I'm more of a Burgundian kind of person.
  • During my studies I lived in Rome for half a year. Since then I have been in love with the city, and with Paris.
  • And if you live in Rome, you might as well speak Italian. I can do that, as well as English, German, French, Spanish and the Limburg dialect.
